Everyone who works with youth wants to provide environments and opportunities that support young people to develop into happy, autonomous adults. Research has affirmed the important experiences, relationships, interactions, and opportunities youth need in order to optimize their learning and development. These elements are affected by many factors, including (1) what happens at an organizational level (funding, organizational climate and culture, behind-the-scenes management practices, etc.), and (2) what young people see and experience while at the program. Both are important. Both operate in tandem. Our two Continuous Improvement workbooks focus on each of these areas:

• Continuous Improvement: Organizational Improvements — focuses on aspects of quality at the organizational level.
• Continuous Improvement: Improving the Youth Experience — focuses on the direct youth experience and associated aspects of quality.

These workbooks are standalone resources that can be handed directly to camp and youth-serving practitioners. Each workbook is intended to be interactive and offer opportunities for readers to engage with sections as needed.
